A plate painted in a Sigil plant motif inspired by an illustration from an Arabian version of the Materia Medica.
The Sigil or Solomon's Seal is illustrated in a Medieval manuscript dating back to the 12th- 16th centuries. This flowering plant has been used in traditional medicine for centuries.
The plates are all individually painted by hand to give the feeling of opening a beautiful old manuscript and delighting at the illustrations within.
Each piece is 100% hand made from start to finish.
Our glazes are lead-free and non-toxic.
