• What is Kansa? Bell metal, an alloy of copper and tin traditionally used for Indian tableware.

• Natural black residue: Handcrafted Kansa from Odisha may carry a distinctive black residue, a hallmark of the traditional making process. It is food-safe and will gradually fade with use and washing.

• Care: Hand wash with mild soap and dry straight away. Not for dishwasher or microwave. Kansa develops a natural patina; a gentle polish restores the shine.
